Scouting

Postby JFord56 » Sun Nov 17, 2013 2:19 pm

We did some scouting on the upper part of Marion yesterday. Lots of coots - saw a few ringnecks and a couple woodies - maybe one gadwall. The CFH growth is much better after the state sprayed. Was not impressed but, hey it was 72 degrees? Was a nice afternoon to be on the water. A week to go baby!

well i guess i put my foot in my mouth, the birds flew ok, but i think this bag was ok for 2 guys, our friends hunted Enoree and only killed 4 woodies. we ended up with a shoveler which i had never shot in SC until saturday.

the guys went to sparkleberry and shot 6 more woodies on sunday, they said they arrived at the ramp down there before midnight and 30 boats were there!!! holy moly.

Hey you got shoot a few ducks hopefully had a great time. We all are dealing with crowded hunts. They do seem to thin out as season progresses. Maybe. But it does look like some of those ducks are mallards?
