Couldn't say. It was flying with 3 GWT, and we cleared the flock. Didn't know what it was till the dog got back with it.

saw bill is one of many names for the infamous merganzer.

there are about 10 arkansas (rice field) mallards in there.

And we shot em with pride. we actually thought about shooting around Mr. Hollywood, and we had plenty of birds to do it, but I had two in the blind that had to be out by 8:00, so I opened spoonbill city for business at 7:30, and we smoked about a dozen of em to finish out 7-man limits. We opted to leave the flaps down on the blind, which meant no love from the mallards, but we had plenty of grey ducks and green wings to make up for it.

Cannon's bloodlust was satisfied.

Today was a little less pleasant. Left at 8:00 with only a handful of specks. I hate ice.

I love this time of the year when we start putting up pictures, however I'm at work until weds so I'm somewhat irritated. Uncle.Lou hit the dam reply button, NOT the quote button, when Cannon post 12 pictures. I swear Yankees ain't got a lick of sense! :sniper:

Should've had a limit but dropping birds was a problem for some of the guys. Lots of pressure yesterday morning so birds weren't real cooperative. Got a beautiful widgeon which is a rare one for me.

Love the green Steve-o. Our selection was primarily brown. Missed my one chance I had at green and a bull sprig. Would've loved those two in the bag

Thanks guys. Some of the guys left after Saturday, so I was able to bring a few extra birds home.

Ramsey Slough just south of the White River at Batesville.

The lights in the picture I posted are your standard camping rope lights.
