Weather tech or husky

Postby don novicki » Mon Dec 09, 2013 4:21 pm

I have a 2013 Silverado that need floor mats. Looking at Weather Tech and Husky, individual mats for the front and over the hump in the rear. About 30.00 price difference between the brands. What does everyone recommend..........

weather techs hands down. ALL of the Husky mats I've seen the edges curl up and fold over. The weather techs also have a little bit better fit as well, with the better construction.

I rarely agree with ^ that guy, but this time I do. I've had several sets of both and the weathertech out last, fit better, and give more coverage than the huskies.

Do all the floor mat companies have warnings for each driver of the vehicle to check that the floor mats are installed correctly?

I will say that I've never used the WeatherTech brand, but I've had Husky Liners in every truck since 2000 and I keep buying them every time I get a new truck. They've worked well for me, and I've never had any problems with them. I'm sure the other brands are fine also, and the key thing is, put a set of SOMETHING in your truck to keep it nice. The mats will pay for themselves in resale value and even savings having the carpets cleaned. I have no problems recommending Husky Liners; my current truck is an 07.5 (NBS) Silverado 2500HD crew

I've also had husky liners in all my trucks and they work well for me. They have deep edges around the perimeter that holds water etc very well. The edges will not fold or curl over if you step into your truck and not on the sill plate

I've had both. I currently have weather techs in a silverado and I can promise you I will never own anything other than weather tech. The quality is far superior to husky without a doubt. No experience with the trail gear but it kinda looks to me like a re-labled weather tech.
