Tell me what you guys think here? It was with 2 mallard drakes and a regular mallard hen I believe its a blonde hen mallard should I mount it or are they more common then what I think,

I'd get it mounted only the second one I've seen or heard of

It looks like it may have blonde characteristics but it looks like either a cross of a farm duck or possibly a juvie to me. I'd check for pin feathers. Seems pretty dark to be a blondie. I've killed 2 blonde mallards in my life and they looked a lot lighter in color than this.

Now that I look closer at the picture, it seems to have half grown tail feathers. Looks like it's a juvie more than a blondie. Or possibly a juvie farm duck.

Here is a pic of one we shot last year. Yes it is going on the wall. It came in with 3 drakes and one other hen. We killed em all. This one almost snuck away from us after she was dropped but luckily we found her. I say if u want to mount the bird then do it. It has more to do about the hunt and the story than just the bird. If you take it to a good taxidermist he should be honest with you and let you know if the bird is in good enough condition to mount or not. Farm duck or not I say Good on ya for shooting something people dont see every day. Congrats

Very cool bird. Congrats. I'd put it on the wall too!
