Health Insurance went up

Postby teamoutlaw » Thu Dec 12, 2013 8:52 am

Just had a big meeting and our health insurance went up at work like we all expected. Me being a single guy my similar coverage went up $31 a week. Most people with family insurance went up $100 a week.

I pay more now and have less coverage.

Just curious how much you guys are seeing at your place of work.

$1500 deductable to $3000

$20 every two weeks to $25 every week

Stopped carrying some meds people in the office were using, so we have less coverage for about $44 more a week...
There are only two types of people in the world, those who love duck hunting and those who never have duck hunted.

1000 Deductible
25 dollar copay

still pay the same price. 90 bucks a month single

Wife has the same basic insurance for her and my stepdaughter for 75 a month.

What sucks is it would be cheaper to put them on my plan but since I haven't adopted my daughter I cant add her

Mine changed administrators, and went from a 300 family deductable to a 300 dollar deductable for me and 600 bucks for the family. On top of it the new administrator put a hidden deductable called my "put of pocket expense". This is $1,000.00  Another thing that changed is that my insurance went from having 6 procedures that have to be pre-approved to 36 procedures. :fingerhead: My son has a medical condition that requires very specialized doctors and tests, most of which arent even in Alaska. This is going to be intersting....

Y'all ain't got it too bad. Wife has insurance at her work. But to add me and 2 boys would be $900 per month. I am self employed and had with united healthcare. Well when Obama care came into effect think Nov 1. They pulled out of SC. Had a $2500 deductible. Cost me and boys around $350 month w/80-20 copay. Blue cross picked up policy and bill went up $250 per month to right at $600. Shopped around raised deductible to $7000 to get back to were could afford almost what were paying. Don't qualify for Obama care cause family plan is offered at wife's work even though it is not affordable. This whole deal really pisses me off.

Not only your deductible is going up and your rates all going up,just wait till you see your paycheck go down jan 1 for the tax hike to pay the insurances company and all the new IRS employees. :hammer:
