Bring on the cold

Postby cthunter144 » Sat Dec 14, 2013 12:05 pm

Got out on a local lake before work this week before it froze all the way across, ring
Necks only show up here when it's bitterly cold up north and only stay for a few daysImage
Went out to the sound on a 3 man layout blind hunt yesterday when we left the truck it was a feels like temp of 4 and winds out of west at 16 but was confident we would get into some birds with the water locked up to our north except the major rivers. Image
Could have shot black ducks all day after we got our 3 sitting in the dekes at 15 yards until we left at 11 , should have had some more geese also but only brought 4 floaters with us and they were traveling in huge groups yesterday. Hope everyone else is having fun out there it sure is cold and windy but that's what makes for the best days

Buffies! Nice haul, glad you got out and had some success!
Did you say woodcock or woodduck?
