Kind of slow

Postby whtelk » Mon Dec 23, 2013 2:50 pm

Kinda slow don't you think? I was able to shoot 4 Widgeons this morning but only hunted an hour. Saw a few bunch's flying but too far off to draw them in. Took 3 out of the first flock and later a lone drake came but would never commit, I made his mind up for him when he acted like "last fly by and I'm otta here".

4 birds in an hour is WAY better than the last couple of duck hunts I had, 1 bird each time after being out for 4-5 hours.

Well, I hunt SI------and the mallards were stormin in there as soon as the deep freeze started to brake, we shot well on the 19th-------now, once they moved on, it's dead-dead-dead. I'm hopin this isn't gunna be the story for SI the rest of the season.
