Wondering what people use in 12ga to bring down the geese choke style and shot thx

In over the blocks just a good load of steel 2 or 1 shot and an open choke.

Jump shooting or pass shooting I use hevi, hw, tss etc and tighter chokes depending on how they pattern the load.

The biggest key is patterning and using the right shot size for the range you'll be shooting.

I used a Briley's extended modified with Black Cloud 3 1/2 inch 4 shot and I was able to bring down an adult swan with two rounds at about 60 yards, I didn't have a range finder so I am just ball parking the range. Oh and the shotgun I use is a Binelli Nova.

I bought some of the black cloud in 3 1/2 #2 shot going to give them a try hopefully we can get the geese to come in again

Nothing like copper plated #2 lead back in the day that sh*t was mean. I wish they would let us use it again. I bet west nile killed more eagle's than lead did in one year :thumbsup:

Use 3 shot for ducks and at geese 3 shot on the first shot then blackcloud 2 or BB the i use a brileys choke
