My just for fun 10/22 build

Postby 2500hdon37s » Thu Jan 09, 2014 1:09 pm

Got the 10/22 as a gift from my dad years ago. Figured I'd dress it up a little and build for function. Being the gun is stainless and has a black poly stock, I stuck with the color combo. Its a plinker and small game gun so a target barrel set up was out for the most part. Even if it wasnt a super complicated build using just drop in parts, it was a fun build and I'm already wanting a heavy target barrel 10/22.
List of parts-
Houge over molded stock
Caldwell short bipods
Volquartsen automatic bolt release (found out after I bought it that you can trim a tiny little tab on the factory catch and make it work the same as the auto)
Volquartsen extended mag release (convenient upgrade)
Volquartsen Bolt/ recoil buffer (I'd suggest this to anybody who has a 10/22)
Volquartsen extractor (excellent upgrade to ANY 10/22 no matter the purpose)
Volquartsen target hammer set up (lighter trigger pull and better hammer)
Volquartsen Take down screw (has a hex head instead of a slot, to keep from messing up the stock upon removal)
Also already had a cheap Redhead scope (will get swapped for something nicer soonish)
Butler creek caps on scope
