MOJO battery replacement

Postby quackattack77 » Sun Jan 12, 2014 8:44 pm

Hi, I am a sixteen year old hunter out of Northern California. I recently purchases a MOJO teal from cabeleas and soon figured out that instead of taking a 6v battery like the MOJO mallard and baby MOJO it takes four AA's. This caused two problems for me. First of all I get a lot of geese in some of the areas I hunt and need to be able to turn it off without having to wade or run out to it. I looked into purchasing a remote but figured out that the mojo remote only works with the 6v models. secondly the batteries don't last near as long a the 6v one my friend has. Does anyone know of a way to convert it to run off of a 6v? (also any other motion decoy advise would be appreciated.)

It's a 9v motor so a 6v battery won't work. Not sure if you can do anything. I'm not that much of a tinkerer but I know the 6v battery won't work

That's weird because AA batteries are generally 1.5 volt. So 4 in series is 6 volts.

Nvm I didn't see. I think the mallard ones are six AA. Didn't notice the teal had four

That's weird. Should be 9 volt then, unless they have 4 in series and 2 in parallel? I'm no electrical engineer, but I'm missing something!
