Talked to the project head today. They are replacing the rake at the dam. The access across the dam is temporarily closed. They are also running a 6" fiber optic cable across the park and up the hill to the station at the top. Lots of guys working and all kinds of heavy equipment. This spring/summer they are going to put in a new boat ramp above and another below the dam. They are going to build an improved camping area above also. This year will be very busy and messy. Also road crews are working the major tumble weed drifts along swan falls road with graders, they completely blocked it the other day, I had to kick them off the road so I could get through in one place.

How about some of those "tumbleweed drifts". The road was one lane for quite aways. Came across the first one at o' dark thirty doing about 55 mph. Talk about getting your heart started! Some of those dadgum things were 10' +.
