Finding open water

Would it be worth my time to hunt creeks since that is the only open water in the area? (To be specific it is the big Darby creek in ohio)

Absolutely! This time of year, much of the best hunting can be on creeks that still have some open water. I've had great days on small water. The only problem is, this time of year ducks can be very wary and decoy shy, they've been shot at for months. Sometimes we just jump shoot em!
