Adam's polishes! EXCELLENT quality products, they cost more than walmart junk but the results are worth it!
I have a lot of their stuff and truly believe that they do outshine anything else.
Dont for get to clay bar your truck after you get it washed really good, then you can wax or use a sealant. a sealant will last long than wax too, so they offer better paint protection.
I have the following things from Adam's polishes-
car wash soap, wash pad, and drying towel combo
all purpose cleaner (cleans better than simple green)
detail spray and clay bar... removes contaminates from paint/ clear coat extremely well
brilliant glaze, great for some extra shine and depth BEFORE wax.
buttery wax... super easy application and removal with great looks after
Super VRT (vynal, rubber, trim) that is amazing for bumper, door handle, and tailgate plastic cleaning and freshing up (doesnt hold dust)
total interior detailer- blows armor all out of the water and again doesnt hold dust or leave a greasy feel.
invisible undercarriage spray that makes older fender wells and frames look new.
then some their wax, glaze, and SVRT applicators.
the stuff is amazing how well it works over what you can find at parts stores and walmart, but if you dont want to spend the cash to have a great looking vehicle. the Meguires higher end stuff at walmart will suffice, and I'd highly suggest you clay bar before you wax. It'll make your ride that much cleaner and paint feel slicker. Also dont forget to clean under you truck, and get all that winter salt and grime off your underbody, frame, axles and other parts you dont often wash.
Clay bar is a bar of yellow clay, available at any FLAPS (Friendly Local Auto Parts Store). I wouldn't buy one unless you are prepared to spend a solid two days and wear the fingers and arms on BOTH side of your body completely out: it's a time-consuming and labor-intensive operation if you do it correctly. I've done my Corvette a couple of times, but you don't need a ladder to do one and the soft curves are easier than a pickup truck.
Wash: any brand name car wash soap and lots of soft water
Wax: just about anything by Meguire's or Mother's is good. Stuff like Zaino is also good, but is very pricey and usually requires at least two steps/operations with different products.
BTW, ArmorAll is not a cleaner, it's a preservative; you apply it AFTER you've properly cleaned the surface.

A clay bar can be had from walmart, the meguires kit works and has detail spray with it (needed for lubricant) and it will not take 2 days! I can wash, clay bar, glaze, and wax the whole exterior of my truck in an afternoon or evening. So maybe 4hrs not skipping spots and not moving too slow. Then maybe another hr for a really good clean on the inside depending on how clean you want it, but you'll able to get your truck looking like new in a few hours. The clay bar will probably help the most for making it look good and actually pulling contaminates out if your clear coat.
Ive got a $50,000 Street Rod and only use Zymoil custom crafted wax on it. Its very high dollar but worth every penny, there are no petroleum distillates in it. It has more clear carnauba wax in it than any brand around around 33% compared to the best Turtle/Meguiars waxs around 6 % . Petroleum distillates do nothing but dry your paint while Zymoil is all natural oils and wax and feeds your paint. I have a friend that put 3 coats of Zymoil wax on his new truck and wondered about its paint protection properties. Well, he had his truck in the garage and it was sitting by a bench with a chain saw on it, There was a can of 3M spray adhesive on a shelf above the bench, his son slammed the garage door shut, the can fell off of the shelf, hit the chain saw and ruptured spraying the whole side of his truck. He called me wanting to know if I had any ideas about what to do. I suggested allowing the adhesive to dry and then try to peel it off the truck. Luckily the Zymoil wax acted like a parting agent and he peeled the adhesive off with little effort. I highly recommend this wax
As for washing DONOT use dish soap but use a soap again WITHOUT petroleum distillates. there are several out there, just look for them
BTW you can use the Zymoil on any black rubber/plastic surfaces with out it leaving a white residue, why, no petroleum distillates in it to dry things out.
Check out chemical guys, i bought a foam gun from them for washing that hooks right up to my pressure washer i use there foam gun shampoo. Clay, meguiars ultimate compound, meguiars ultimate polish, then zymol carbon wax

Just remember any wash that has petroleum distillates in it removes wax. Zymoil makes a product called Clear Auto Bathe and its Ingredients. Zymol Clear Auto Bathe contains Spun Tallow Soaps, Sunflower Oil, Coconut Oil, Cetyl Esters, Cetyl Cocomide (derived from coconut oil), Lemon Peel, Pure Lemon Extract, Titanium Dioxide (opacifier). It does not contain any sodium solvents, so it is safe for use on all finishes.
Coolest thing about clay bar is doing a cellophane test. take some from a cigarette wrapper and feel your paint after a wash/before clay, and then do it after clay. Its incredible!
I could do it in four hours, too, but then I'd have to do it all over again the next day......
Who are the best/quickest at doing this type of stuff: the professional detailers, right?
I hired one to come to my house several years ago and wash, claybar, and wax my Vette (a relatively easy car to do), no interior work.
It took him nine hours of non-stop labor. He charged by the job, not by the hour, so there was incentive to do the work quickly.
If you are doing it in half the time as the pro, you are doing half the job....at best.
It takes me twice as long to do a comparable job on the same car; I can wash and clay in one day, the second day is mostly taken with waxing and buffing, then removing excess wax from the crevices, reinstalling emblems, etc.
Rhock19 is right about the claybar: you won't see the difference, but you'll certainly feel the difference...even with bare fingertips.
