A buddy of mine killed a rattlesnake while he was bowfishin the other day. He skinned it out and has it in the freezer. He's not sure how to cook it. I did make sure to tell him to not eat any of the meat close to the head cause ive heard they have venom glands there and it can make you pretty sick. Anyway, anybody have a rattlesnake recipe??

Cut into chunks, beerbatter and deep fry. It doesnt taste like chicken but its good. Dip in BBQ sauce.

Fry it like fish.The taste is similar to frog legs with a stringy texture. Good eating for sure

These guys are correct: Rattlesnake is best chunked and batter fried. Not dredged in cornmeal or flour -- battered, as in a beer batter. Tempura is also good, but is tricker to pull off. You need club soda and Wondra flour...

And you definitely want to dip them in your favorite hot sauce. Mine's Cholula (It's a Mexican sauce you can get at some supermarkets)

definately cut them into 4-6 inch pieces or they will twist up when your cookin them. i cook mine in olive oil, fresh garlic, some garlic salt and quite a bit of cilantro!!! outstanding i think. smells even better though
