I beg to differ with you guys! I am a landowner along the platte in Morrill county. The Platte is designated a navigatable stream. The landowner does not own the water or the land under the river unless his property goes to the middle of the main channel or he crosses the channels and owns both sides.
Technically you cannot prevent any tresspassing as long as the person stays in the channel.
A lot of land along the Platte is "Accretion" property which means you never really hold clear title to the property.,
You could legally float or walk the water channels of the river and not be in violation of any tresspass laws as they stand.

Land owners own the land under the water.

You can get public land info from NGPC or a CRP atlas from many places.

A swamp would be hard to find in these parts. You're gonna be looking for a marsh. The public access is acceptable and there are some great places to hunt. Lakes are pretty easy to come by as well.

We hit the platte today by lousiville and it sucked.

Geese trade back and forth from the park to the housing development

They are eating grass instead of corn and not hanging on the river we need some cold weather instead of this.

Heading down to schilling in the morning anyone wanting to come bring some goose decoys for the sandbar or mallards for the sandbar we have the ducks covered for the river.

Be their at 530am I drive a silver dodge ram.
