Making a goose call

Postby HonkShooter » Fri Mar 04, 2005 5:02 pm

Hey, I've been wanting to make a goose call. My dad owns a metal shop so I have access to a good lathe and other tools. He also has some of this high compacity plastic material that I think I'm going to try and make it out of. Just wondering if anyone has some tips on it or good places I can go to learn more about it. Thanks.
No, I'm not a good shot, but I shoot often.

yea if you have a lathe and some wood it's not to hard to do it i've made a couple in my highschool shop class because i was bored and thought it would be nice to have some more good calls. even though i had never done it before they came out very nice you just have to take your time to make sure it all fits and sounds right. I would use maple or coca they sound the best i think.
