Airbrushing

Postby Duck Nasty » Fri Feb 28, 2014 12:13 pm

I'm having issues with my new air brush and haven't been able to get it working at a fine detail. I have a paasche VL with a 3 needle in it and the smallest dot that I can make is larger than a pencil eraser. Is it a matter of my paint being too thick or what else could it be

Yes It could be your paint is too thick... I use paints that are already thinned down. So they go thrue nice and easy. Also just thinking out loud here but what PSI is your compressor set at? Single action or double action brush? What kind of paint? Also if you ran thicker paint through there it could have plugged something up?

I got it figured out. It was a mechanical issue. I have a paasche VL. Double action. Compressor was at 20psi. I was using prethinned createx paints.
