Wheeler Clean-up POSTPONED DUE TO ICE

Postby O2Fsh » Sun Mar 02, 2014 8:03 pm

Thought I'd see if anyone is interested in helping clean the landing at the end of Court Street in Milford. I'm going to be there Sunday, March 9th at 2 pm. I'll have a cooler of refreshments and plenty of trash bags for everyone.

Hope to see you there to help keep our spots available and clean.

PM me for details or to arrange some help.

Mike

is court street ever accessable with a trailer???

seems its always got a wire across or something to block launching a boat via a trailer....

are you doing this on your own or in conjunction with an organization ot the state?

Tool,

Yes, Court Street is accessible with a trailer. I am doing this on my own in an effort to clean the place up a bit. I use it during hunting season and would hope that those around the landing might appreciate someone cleaning it. Maybe they won't be so quick to complain and have it closed if we invest a bit of time maintaining it during the off season.

I plan on calling the city on Friday if we get enough folks, to ask them to pick up the full bags on Monday.

Can I count on you being there Tool? With the other responses, we'll be three.

I am thinking there is probably still snow coverage on the shore and in the parking lot....have you been down there lately?

Actually, it is on my plan for today to visit the spot. I thought about snow as well.

I'll get back to everyone.

Great call Tool!! There is TOO MUCH snow and ice around the parking lot to make the effort worth it.

I'll postpone until later in the Spring.
