But he's just looking for something cheap and mainly for upland. Just looking for reviews from people that have shot or own an Escort semi auto. Please don't tell me he should by this or that. Just looking for opinions on the Escort. I own a couple of higher end semi autos and he's well aware of how good they are. He's on a budget and just wants a cheap 12ga. And I know very little about them and the reliability of them. Thank you!
There hasnt been many guns over the years that have generated such hatred for a design as these things after they swamped the UK market 8years ago, they arent just bad they are seriously atrocious.
Cheaply made ,poor build quality and the most unreliable autoloader ever made .Youl will lose your money as resale value on used ones is as appealing as fresh dog turd and you will end up giving it away as the dealer will give you enough change for a cab ride home if you offer it back to him-if your lucky.
Most guys on here havent owned them 5minutes-although i know some that havent worked new out of a box and if you bought a 3.5" version and tried Fed blackcloud through one i wouldnt be surprised if it lasted half the box before it fell to bits.At best you can expect a season out of one if you use lively ammo, then its downhill thereafter.
Save your money, look for a clean used Rem 1100 mag or Berretta 300 series/Benelli -whatever- dont think your giving yourself a new shotgun for secondhand money because your not.Stay clear.
