you want to talk about a state that has no respect for the military...come to Nm 3 bases here that provide close to 100,000 jobs and this place rags on it.

I can agree to that. I serve out of White Sands Missile Range, NM and I know what your talking about. Its sad!

USN Chaplain (29 years) Retired....lots of deployments all over the USA and the world. Assigned to USMC commands about 14 of those years, and even stationed with the USCG Kodiak Is. Retired in NC Coastal...missing those mallards and timber hunting, but get in some timber shooting every year about four hours away, and enjoy the diver hunting during the hard winters along the big bays.

Started out as combat engineer out in HI, 25thID; finished as special forces engineer in 20th SFG(A). Total of 12 years, tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. Thank you all for your service.
My 15 year old is already taking flight lessons, if his path holds true he will be flying fast movers over some poor bastards who appreciate him as much as we appreciated them and those before us.

Usmc active duty infantry. Going on 5 years. Stationed at camp lejeune, going to Paris island soon. Married, with a newborn. And like somebody said above "waiting for the next war" we'll, I'm not, I'd rather stay here and be with my family and hunt.

Trade your shotgun for fishing rods down there I left there in 2010 and had to be some of the best fishing I've ever done.

:hi: I spent 6 years in Coast Guard Reserves from 1972-1978 as a Boatswains Mate, mainly doing search and rescue on San Francisco Bay. Then I joined the navy in 1980 and volunteered for the silent service. I made 9 submarine patrols on missile submarines. I was a Missile Technician. When the Cold War ended, they began downsizing and I took an early retirement in 1996 after about 17 years active duty. I hunt ducks in Northern California. I hunted ducks once while stationed in Virginia.

Hey fellas. Im Sam. Very new here to the forums but been huntin birds all my life. Im from Louisiana. Born in Slidell. Currently live near Lafayette Louisiana. Im 29 years old. Joined the Army in 2001 a little after 9/11. Spent four years in active . 21bravo(combat engineer). Got hurt overseas near the end of my deployment. Couldnt re up(basically told I was too used up)... so I have just been pretty much working menial jobs and spending all the time I can in the woods. Saving up to build a houseboat now and I plan on living in the woods for the rest of my life once its done. Should have saved enough by the end of the year to build it. I cant wait. Well, thats a little about me. Glad to be here on the forums and reading .

I also like hunting deer and rabbit. Hell , Il hunt ANYTHING if Im givin the chance.
