MH, that sounds about right. i also have an '85 GMC Sierra that i will poke around in from time to time. it has a 350 w/a 4bbl carb and it gets about 8mpg. looks just like yours but it's the reg cab short box.

Got 'bout the same, 8MPG. It was also an 85, w/ the same engine. If you talk to any mechanic, they'll tell you that is a bad year for truck engines for Chevrolet/GMC.

Hey all, just noticed the "guest" on my last post??? Whats up with that? Thanks to you guys for the compliments. And NO, I'm not sharing! She's driven it once to the store. She says that she does not want to be the one that puts the first scratch or dent on it.
Hey, did you grab the blind bag with the shells when we left the truck?

These are the 3 ways that I have gotten there in descending order. I wish my truck was as clean and scratch free as it is in the picture. I took this pic about 3 days after I bought it. It's a 2003 F-150 FX4. I soon there after sold the '95 4-runner in the background. We still have the the '86 dodge ram in the way back. That was my grandad's truck and I got it when I was 16, then my brother got it, and now it is just a catch all farm truck. It has mismatched speakers from an old home stereo set behind the seat and some good old tapes like Charlie Daniels, Skynard, and Metallica. All 3 have gotten me to and from everywhere I have ever wanted to go.

Hey Stouff, my canoe is made of fiberglass. I just used this spraypaint i bought at Canadian Tire. I can't remember the brand name but it's camo paint(really flat, no gloss at all) comes in brown, black, tan and olive green. If your canoe is plastic,(are you sure it's not fiberglass?) regular spraypaint might not stick to it. They do sell a spraypaint that is made especially to stick to plastic. I'll try to find some info on those paints for you.

Mine's just a typical ol' late-90's Chevy 4x4. No lift and nothing really special about it except it has XM and a little mud from scouting for snow geese.

I picked up the '03 Tahoe wheels/tires for a song and a dance, so that's what I'm sporting until duck season rolls around when I'll put my old wheels back on with the mud tires.

Mallard Man,

Yes, it is fiberglass, it is just alot easier for me to say plasic.

Does yers scrape or flake off easily?

For the abuse that canoe takes every season, that paint holds up really well. When i first painted it, i put a wicked thick coat of flat black on it as a base, then did the camo. Dunno if thats the reason or not but we beat the crap out ouf that canoe and it really only needs small touch-ups before season starts.
