Ill start off,

I love a standard. There is sumthing 'bout the feel of it, it makes you feel alot more in control. It also (if used correctly) can lower the ammount of ware and tear on yer vehicle (ie- brakes).

PLUS it gives you sumthin to do while driving; besides using yer hands fer "communicating" yer feelings towards other drivers :salude:

depends on what i'm doing, If i'm racing brackets at the drag strip, I run a auto for consistancy...if im towing I want an auto, its hard on manuals for towing...but if its my daily driver around town manual it is! -Chris

Gunman........

You are almoast the opposite of most folks. They want a standard for towing, and a auto for everday stuff....

:withstupid: I would prefer a auto, but would rather replace a manual cause they are cheaper. Manuals accel faster, but you don't have to keep shifting with a auto, so its a toss up.

it's situational for me too. definitely auto in SUV and Truck. the computer that runs the tranny knows a lot better than i do about what it's tolerances, etc. are. now for sports cars, manual all the way. i wouldn't get behind the wheel of a sports car with a auto tranny...
