Military Waterfowlers

Postby MIKE J. » Tue Aug 19, 2008 12:25 pm

Just giving a shout out to all the waterfowlers on the Base in Newport, If you are new to the area give me a yell. There are few of us stationed here and we are always looking for more to hunt with locally and throughout the New England area.

Good Luck this season.

We've been flocking deke's for a week now.

Brian, Did you ever get the data back on that black collar last season? I swear that bird was hanging around the base for years before he met your spread

Banded in Newport in 1992!

And it was an adult when it was banded, so who knows how old it really was!

Wonder how many times she flew from Newport to Jamestowna and back!

Hi I am an Army recruiter for south county and newport county and I love to hunt especially waterfowl. I have been here for a year and had to hunt alone the whole season but still made out ok. I have been looking for other waterfowl hunters to go with so glad I found this post. Please drop me a line or shoot me an email @ shaun.collins1@us.army.mil thanks

Hey everyone,

My name is Justin and I'm in the Navy. I'm originally from RI but I've been gone, and am looking for some new partners. I'm into it all...bay/ocean, swamp, etc. Particularly, I like Biscuit City.

Drop me a line if anyone is interested. Thanks!

Justin,

Welcome back! Always glad to see new waterfowling buddies on the base to get together with. I do mostly geese and puddle ducks. Hit me up sometime and we'll go out and smack some birds down.

:welcome:

Well...I'm actually on emergency leave in Ohio, but should be back in town and hunting Saturday. Drop me a line and let me know if you want to go out. I'm thinking if the weather is right I will be hunting over in Tiverton, if the weather isn't I'll be on the mainland side of the bay.

Where are you stationed out in Hawaii? I transferred to RI from VP-9 over in K-Bay.

Let me know if you want to hook up for a hunt.

Hey guys,
My name is Jason, I'm in the Navy, stationed in Groton, CT. I live in Ashaway, RI. I have been hunting in CT exclusively, but would love to try out little Rhody. 09 was my first season duck hunting and would like to expand my horizons.
