I'M LOOKING FOR TOWNS WITH SOME GOOD POT HOLES THE HOLD GEESE IM LOOKIN TOWARDS THE SOUTH SOUTH EASTERN AND EAST SIDES OF DEVILS LAKE WE HUNTED SOUTH DAKOTA LAST YEAR AND AND WE DID GREAT ON DUCKS BUT IM MORE OF A GOOSE HUNTER MY SELF THANX

I think you are expecting someone to hand you a silver platter full of ducks and geese. That is not going to happen. They are around--but you need to do the leg work for them to find them.

I am not expecting someone to tell me right where to sit im looking for alittle help you know like town names ........ does ND have a map of public land or what everlike minnesota does like aa map of the states public land thanx

First off most ND will not give you any info if you are looking to hunt geese over water! It has been our experience that geese move in ND out of an area if they are hunted even once over water!

You can go from the SD border to Canada north and west to the Missouri and find ducks and geese in huntable numbers! I am on other forums and my PM box fills up with people wanting info. Those looking for general info get help. Those looking or appearing to want detailed location info get nadda!!!!!!!!!!

If I were to pick a general area, I'd say Jamestown up to Langdon on the east side and Bismark up to Minot on the west side. Everything in between is good. I highly suggest getting a good topo map of ND so you can get around. Be forwarned --many country roads on topos are under water, espeically on the NE side of the state.

Up by Valley City is awesome too. Same with jamestown.
