Thanks. The A5 was a prominent fixture in the old photographs from our place in the 50's. It's always held a special place with me.

I love hunting with vintage shotguns. The last two years I've hunted with a 16 gauge Winchester 24 made in 1950 and a Winchester Model 12 Heavy Duck made in 1940. Just two weeks ago I managed to pick up a Belgian Auto 5 Magnum Twelve (for under $500). It was made in 1973. I live a charmed life. First 12 I ever shot was my grandad's Browning Light Twelve. My older brother has it. Both Sam the Lab and I can't wait to warm it up this season. Also interesting was that it has a 28" modified barrel. Should be okay with steel. First one I saw that didn't have a 31.5 full choke. Does anyone know if a standard 2 & 3/4 12 barrel will work on it for smaller game and birds. Thanks and adios.

Well hatman, I got a great deal this week myself. A 1991 A 5 light 12; Jap gun, like new with choke tubes for $330.00! This will be ny new duck gun for this fall. With the synthetic stocks I could use it during any weather. Gonna shoot the non tox loads in it and a 1947 standard A 5 with the original poly chokes. Looking forward to shooting these vintage guns! later  :hi: :hi:

Im on the hunt for a Stalker Mag 12 with 28" Invector plus barrel. Ive found some with 26" barrel but not a 28". The Stalkers seem to fetch a pretty high price tag though.

Well I sold my Xtrema2 and went with all A5's. Ive got a 1982 build and a 1998 in my possession right now. Im putting the Browning Stalker composite stocks on the 1998 gun. I just put another one on layaway the other day. This one is a 1993 build with the Invector Plus barrel. 98% wood and blue. Gonna pick it up first part of July. These things are definitley an addiction. I dont think I will ever shoot anything else again.

Local, online and thru some friends up north that hear about guys getting rid of their A5's to get a 3.1/2 inch magnum. Most want the Berreta or Benelli. magnums. I'll take the old guns! Gotta love em. And at the right price i won't miss very few1 later, dawg

Made another deal and have my 5th A5 12 light coming in Monday evening. Coming out of Florida. What's wrong with those guys in Florida, Minn, and WI. Bigger and more expensive ain't neccessarily better. Got guys wanting to sell A5 Lights all over to get a B gun with 3 1/2 chambers. Keep selling those A5's. I'm watching and waiting. Diesel70 and Committed need to keep your eyes out and ears to the wind!    :hammer: :welcome:

I switched last year. My first duck gun was a Super Nova. Couldn't hit squat with that gun, even though I'm an above average wing shot.

Last year it rained ducks...thanks to John Browning. Either they work for you or they don't. The A5 works for me.
