870 Face Lift! (With *NEW* pictures after dipping)

Postby mox » Mon Oct 06, 2008 7:50 pm

I just sent off my 870 to be dipped in MO Duck Blind.
Color and Camo, Inc. is doing the work. They hail from western KY and the website is very impressive. A buddy of mine had his Browning Gold dipped in Max-4 about a month and a half ago. It looks as good or better than factory. I'll be posting some pics when I get my gun back in 2 weeks. The dipping process supposedly restores beatin' and bangin' your gun has taken for years.

Anyone know how the whole 'dipping' process physically works?

Still have a bit...

Postby mox » Mon Oct 06, 2008 10:35 pm

Our season doesn't start until Thanksgiving Day.
My gun will be at Color and Camo on Wednesday (10/8). From the 1st step the process should take about 2 weeks.
Plenty of time to reunite and get focused before I start makin' 'em fall like dishrags!

2 1/2 weeks from today and I'll reunite with my 'new-to-me' gun. I will post pics (before & after) when I get it back.

I dropped it off myself and it took a little less than 3 weeks. I live about 1 hr. 30 min. away, so picked it up as well. I'm not sure how long shipping would take. You could call the guys at Color and Camo and they'll shoot you straight on a time estmate though. They are very professional and do things as if their own guns are being handled. They are also avid hunters of various game.
