Hunted Juliette Saturday and the fog was so thick we couldnt see 40 yards out. For the first time this season we had several nice flocks of mallards flight right over head but couldnt get a shot or get them to come back around. We didnt see them until the last minute. We heard the wings and they were gone.

Try Lake Oconee WMA area and try the WMA at WestPoint.

I never tried either so can't comment on quality of areas or the hunting.

I plan on learning to duck hunt this season and live closest to Lake Juliette. I had planned on taking my Kayak and my retriever with me. Would it be difficult to get to good locations in a kayak with no motor?

Just be careful with all the winds out there on the main lake in a kayak.
