My friends and I are coming up to go salmon fishing again near Polaski in the first week of Oct. Trying to learn the NY zones and seasons takes a maters degree in graphing. Can anyone inlighten me if any thing will be in? Perferably waterfowl but I thing black powder/archery might be in. Any help would be great.

The waterfowl season for the northeastern and southeastern zones are open Oct. 8. I don't have a hunting syllabus right here, but I know squirrel and rabbit, grouse and turkey will be open in that area. There are some state land WMA's not too far from Pulaski that are great for Grouse (especially Happy Valley). I think Pulaski is considered in the Western zone and therefore doesn't open until Oct. 22, but you may want to call one of the shops in Pulaski to make sure. Has all the season information on it under hunting seasons. If Pulaski is in the Western Zone then you are still only 15-20 mins. away from the Northeastern for ducks.

Hope this helps.
