TIRES

Postby steelslinger » Sun Dec 21, 2008 6:05 pm

My question is hopefully simple for you vehicle enthusiasts:

I have a 2002 F150 extended cab 2WD with the 4.2 Liter engine.

Currently I am running the stock 255/70R/16SL tires that is suggested by the manufacturer. I see a lot of wheel well space that is unoccupied and am looking for a tire that will fill up a little more of the wheel well to make it look a little better. I DO NOT want to have to change anything on the truck to accomodate any huge tires. Keep in mind that it is 2WD and the only time I go off road is to duck hunt and very seldom put myself in a situation that calls me to get on it to get through it. If I can't go, I don't. I am interested in a tire that will handle all terrain but yet one that I can get a lot of highway mileage out of and still look good on the truck. Not trying to go over 125.00 a tire. Any suggestions would surely help.

I am possibly looking at 265 or 275 and MAYBE a 75R if this is possible. What is your take on this?
If you hunt WITH your children today, you won't hunt FOR them tomorrow
Put "em in the woods and keep 'em off the streets
