What happened to your trim? I have electric trim on mine. Just trying to prevent any future damage.

New to the forum but thought I'd give a report for the December season.

Hunted Prime Hook on the Dec. 19 and 20 only one Black Duck for both days. I noticed alot of sky busting and locked birds turning away when ever another blind would shoot.

Dec 23 did a little better at Assawomen, buddy and me shot our limit, 6 mallards, 1 gadwall, 5 merganser. Yeah the whole bay was frozen but it worked out well. All of our big ducks were decoying and should have had few more mallards, blacks, and gadwalls.

Dec 24 Went back to Assawomen and same blind on the 23. Only shot 2 mallards. Alot less birds flying than the day before. Alot of Buffelheads and mergansers there. Hope the weather gets cold again.

Daffy- I was driving Extrema's boat when it happened. The trim cylinder is plastic and it just cracked where the top connects to the motor. I think a piece of ice got lodged under the boat and hit it just right. Let me tell you what though it was not fun driving through two inches of ice while trying to keep the motor under control with no trim.

daffy as macklin said a piece of ice must have hit the trim it started acting funny that day at assawomen when it was so icy hoping to have it fixed for my days off next week so i can hunt the hook

My DAD and I went up to PA and goose hunted SAT. with some friends of ours.WE HAD A BLAST!! We ended up with 11 and if it wasnt for another group or hunters hunting the upper field we probably would of limited out for 7 people in 2 hours. There are so many geese around up there its something else. There are also snow geese up there that has NEVER been around until this year.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYBODY!!!!

We were in blind 5. Suprised thats all you got with all the birds around. Unless a bunch of birds move down from up north, I'm pretty much done with prime hook.

I guess ill contribute..

Last wendsday hunted a corn fiel in smyrna. Shot 8 mallards. Should have at least 5 or 6 more and a black duck but the guys i was with were kinda particular on super close shots. had a group of 30+ dive bomb us.

Friday hunted the hook and took blind 4. Shot two black ducks and shuold have shot a couple mallards and my limit on honkers..

Hunted northern DE saturday evening in the marsh and killed a honker. Should have shot a dub but my gun jammed  Did see more ducks that usual witch was promising so im gonna try it again this week.

I have had a lot of freinds hunting the hook and not going in till 10 or 11, and have been shooting there share of the big ducks... Good luck to everyone for the next couple of weeks... As for me i leave for Arkansas on friday for Bayou medo

went with Macklin and couldn't agree more it wasn't a good day.. freezing cold and windy along with the ice plus no birds flying = bad day.. with the temps as low as they are supposed to be guess going to have to hunt big water to end the year up
