How many Canada Goose field decoys do you have?

Postby h2ofwlr » Sun Sep 05, 2004 1:31 am

This means--you yourself, not a hunting party total. Meaning if 4 guys have 100 decoys, you have 25 then. Same goes with hunting clubs... If there are 20 members and there are 2000 decoys, you are at 100 then. I'm just trying to level the playing field is all to compare apples to apples.

Well I figured my dad and my decoys count together since im still under his roof. It's about 12 1/2 doz now. Should be more than we ever will need but you know, can't have to much of a good thing.

Hi ALL

Out here on the west coast,we have better luck using a 9 goose decoys with 5 duck dekes on the side AND best of all 1 robo-duk goose deke.

Has never failed for the last three years to provide a easy limit--all good clean kills using 23/4 12 g BB steell reloads.

We have been next to fellas with 100 goose decoys and the geese and ducks will land in our spread everytime.

Good hunting!

I've got one dozen Bigfoot decoys and one dozen G&H Magnum Shells.

By the time my buddy adds his two dozen field decoys, I would say we have more than enough. I've never hunted anywhere that required more than four dozen decoys to bring birds in.

Of course.......that doesn't mean it's not possible.

man do i feel lame, but with 2 doz geese (1 doz shells and 1 doz silos) plus 2 doz ducks in my 1st year of waterfowl hunting, i have a decent start and plan to add to it here directly. Plus santa might have to help me out and hook me up with some more dekes.

Have 10 dozen full bodies 5 dozen shells and 10 dozen silo's. Of course I do not use them all but you never know where your going to be hunting and what the access is going to be like. Of course you only need 9 decoys your in BC come down to lower Oregon or Northen Cali it gets a bit harder(-:. one of the lasts ones to get a crack at em. Its all good though I'm just jealous.
