I have several flashlights on my dresser. Mostly they are LED's cause the nephews like playing with them, the flashlights that is, and most times I got a Stinger on charge close by.

no flashlight for me, the force is strong in me young padwan
Buy it, use it, break it, fix it,
Trash it, change it, mail - upgrade it,
Charge it, point it, zoom it, press it,
Snap it, work it, quick - erase it,
Write it, cut it, paste it, save it,
Load it, check it, quick - rewrite it,
Plug it, play it, burn it

Most incidents will occur in the dark, and, we've all heard about identifying our targets.

I like the lithium mini lights (surefire and clones).

If you look at the photo of the black AR you can see a flashlight mounted on the quad rail, next to the foregrip. It's a 3 watt LED.

Ruger GP100 loaded with Federal Premium 158gr Hydrashocks. I'm thinking about switching to .38 +P due to muzzle flash issues and the fact that it's easier to stay on target with them......however, if you got hit with one of the 158 gr Hydrashocks you wouldn't be going anywhere...these are the types of rounds that limbs get amputated from.

Keep Sig .40 in the night stand

SKS in closet next to bed

I also keep a 1911 in whatever room I happen to be in. Call me paranoid but all it takes is the extra few seconds to mean life and death.

surefire e1B, E2DL, smith and wesson m&p .40 and taurus PT1911 in a safe like the ones above.

+1 on the "identify your targets" diddy. the lights are probably more important than the guns in the dark.
