A few more pics of my WPG, Steve. He's 3 now and has retrieved over 100 ducks each season, pointed countless upland birds and has been a pretty ideal companion.

20 month old field bred english cocker "Emmy"
Photo of her first Dove Hunt last week. Hope to introduce her to teal ducks on Saturday. We are working on patience, sitting still for long periods and absolute steadiness. Her natural instinct is to quarter ahead of the gun in the field looking for birds to flush. This whole sitting in a blind and not retrieving birds until commanded was a puzzling concept to her at first.

The netspurts may BS the new kids about cigaring costing birds, but this old one doesn't reckon that bird's getting away.

My first post and first hunt after moving to Minnesota. Not much working in the pics but I am proud that he is as far along this early!!!!! Loves the upland and the water. Will retrieve anything that is put out for him and he has a nose like nothing I have seen before. He is a 3.5 month old wirehaired griffon on the 2013 Minnesota youth hunt. Great dog so far that has consumed my life

Chewy-those are some really great photos!!! :clapping:

Worked yesterday morning extending range while upland hunting, then ended with some 100 yard blinds. Enjoying the cooler weather.

I got him from Prairie Kennel in Sheldon North Dakota when he was right a 7 weeks old. He brought me back a wing from the water the first week!! Love this dog and can't say enough about the breed so far.

Absolute gorgeous dog!!! I've been contemplating going that route for awhile but haven't bit the bullet just yet!!

I picked up a GSP about 2 years ago to the day..give or take a week. She's a sweetheart. She was a "rescue" type deal and it's my first go-round with any type of pointer breed. I can say this...she may be my first but she's not my last!!!

Journeys first hunt and she did great. Even chased a crippled 75 yards. She was a lungey and hyper but she performed flawlessly. Way better than I expected for a first hunt. All the training paid off well.
