That's awesome man! Where the heck are you beating up the swans and the cranes? Wish I lived there, I bet them jokers have a lot of meat on them. You are gonna have a happy happy lab if you keep Dixie on 300 birds a year haha. Great pics, Dixie looks like a rock star

Minneguy thanks for the complements! I live in montana and the cranes are from a hunt in canada! As for the swans we shoot them here in montana if your lucky enough to get a tag. Here's a pic of her retrieving my swan this year. She only weighs 54 pounds and the swan weighed 20.5 poundsImage

A sad day when duck season comes to a close. Here are a couple shots from the last couple hunts of the year.

Ace and Bullet had some tag team action this day.
Image

Love when a young dog gets it early! Bullet will turn 7 mos in a week or so.

Ace got the call for the last hunt of the year.

Last duck hunt of the year for Taz and I, he made many big strides this year. Will start prepping for NAVHDA UT this spring.

Our last hunt together until next season. I am deploying and she is headed to the trainer while I'm gone. Shot 3 this morning, and finished off our limit this afternoon. Its been a great first season. She has got 16 retrieves under her belt in the short month I have been able to hunt with her. Hopefully I won't be deployed the entire next season again.

No problem brother! You live in my dream state! I'd sell my left nut and my truck for a small piece of land in Colorado or Montana. The cranes would be awesome, but that little girl with a swan is a heck of a sight! All heart. Gotta love it!

Here's a pic of Scooter after a 11 man limit including 9 surgeons and me and another guide. 55 in less than 2 hours. Some great dog work from him that day, in some nasty cattails around this slough. Even earned dad a 500 dollar tip for great dogwork!! By far my favorite picture I have of him.

Finished her first year with 38 retrieves at 9.5 months old. Could have had more but a small flood kept her from going for about 3 weeks.
