No Birds

The manager of schilling decided he wanted to lock the gate up also even though it is open for public hunting.
He did this last year also and gave his buddies keys to hunt it and locked everyone else out.

If I catch them going in again this year with the gate locked again I will be calling the commission.
The guy that runs the place can be pretty shady.

He let his buddies use his office every morning this fall so they could store their decoys their and put them out at 4am and then go back to the office and have coffee and hang out till shooting time to stay warm.

I would get their at 5am and they would have the same spot everyday and park their vehicles at the office.

Sometimes public land hunting sucks.

I'm with WF81....you need to report these types of events when they are happening. My suggestion would be that next time you are witness to this....call the game warden or ngpc. Notify them when the gate is locked and they should be able to tell you why. If they have no reason why it is locked maybe they'll send someone out to check it out.
