10mm or 45 and a 12ga pump or auto...depending on my mood.
I sometimes actually conceal a full-sized Glock 20 and 1911s wearing shorts with a baggy T-shirt.
Here's a thought: Let the ducks work and decoy.

For home defense I have a pistol grip Mossberg 500 12 ga loaded with 00 buckshot. My carry weapon is a .380 Micro Desert Eagle. I sometimes carry my S&W 642 as well.

Depending upon who you talk to they are either a huge fan of Sig pistols or don't know much about them as there isn't really much gray area with them. I recently sold my P229 40 and bought a XD40SC for concealability as well as a smaller grip. I really liked the Sig for the trigger, action (DA/SA) and deckcker, but the grip was just too large for my cadet ML paws and it was a little too uncomfortable to wear IWB. I looked at the single stack 239 but the XD was a little smaller through the grip and pointed more naturally for me...plus I sold the Sig for just over what I paid for the XD and a new 239 would have been a couple hundred more. Either way I'm back where I started as I wanted (and now have) the XDSC and am still pinching dimes to save for a Kimber UCII.

I liked the feel of the XD but I didn't like the way it shot there was alot of recoil I thought. I will say that the sig is kind of hard to hide but it fits me good. I don't think it matters much what the gun is as long as you are confident in it and it goes bang when you squeeze the trigger.

To add to my posts...I finally scrounged up the cash so my NEW CCP pistol is a stainless Kimber UCII in .45acp. I got a nice OWB holster on Saturday and am probably going to get a Super Tuck for IWB (after I order some of Sarge's exotic grips to doctor it up a little bit). The XDSC has become a house gun and now resides in an inconspicuous place in my bedroom.

Taurus® Mdl 617SS2 357 Magnum in a Don Hume® J.I.T. Slide™ Holster. BUG is a Taurus® Mdl 85SS2UL in a Uncle Mike's pocket holster. Both are stoked w/Buffalo Bore® LSWCHPGC bullets. I carry the 38 Special inside my chest waders' inside pocket.

XD-40 sub-compact. I have a 1911 and a Sig Pro but they rarely get carried.

Totally agree...to me any "warning", should I have the necessity and legal right to pull the trigger, would be the muzzle flash the BG sees right before a 230gr gold dot slams into his body!

My uncle has this pistol in the 380 with gold dots. It is a tiny pistol, sure would be easy to hide.

When I was a resident of NY I carried either my G26, G19, G23, G27, Kimber Warrior (winter), or Kahr PM9 (summer). It was like when you wake up to decide on what shirt to wear, I decided on which gun I was going to carry for that day.

Now that I'm in a Nanny State which doesn't allow CCW I carry my PM9 in a pocket holster.

Glocks were carried in a MTac Holster: http://www.comp-tac.com

Kimber in a Slide Guard HighNoon Holster: https://www.highnoonholster.com/Product_Line/_Slide_Guard/_slide_guard.html

PM9 sits in a Pocket Grabber: https://www.highnoonholster.com/Product_Line/_Pocket_Grabber/_pocket_grabber.html
