Snow Goose Hunting Around York NE

Anyone want to try and put something together for one these little buggers come up thru?
If you have a better spot that would be awesome also.
I will have three in my party and about 300 silo socks and 4 speaker caller system.
The more decoys the better and the more shooters the better.

Bill

:welcome:

Got a field lined up north of squaw creek this afternoon and it was full......

The farmer banged 15 pass shooting by his house this morning.

He was very nice and gave us permission but doesnt want us to drive out in his field.

Going after them tomorrow decoys are loaded and layout blinds and ecaller.

Anyone else care to add to the spread this weekend if its a hot field the more the better.

I already have to go to cableas and get more decoys.

STOLEN DECOYS

That is always my fear.

Gotta find another field for this weekend just in case the farmers buddy hunts the one we were in.

They have not made it all the way up to the Basins yet.

I will have to make a trip to York the first week of March and get it set for that weekend.

Unless they move faster. Right now it looks like they are stalled till it warms up most the water is still froze here.

Nasty wind all day

We only put out about 200 decoys since the ground was frozen and the wind was whipping.

No birds decoyed.

Should of took some pass shots but like to work them in.

5K landed in the same field as us again and fed for a hour and then we pushed them off hoping they would come back in single groups.

Got a visit from the Game Warden checking birds and licenses and said some of the guides killed a few but not many.

Juveniles arent up yet.

Birds are pushing to the MO/IA state line though saw the first groups pushing up when we came back yesterday.

I wont have to drive as far here now

You get any snow last night Duckrunner? We got between 2-3 where I live. My dad called and said that Lincoln got about double that. I just saw some snows flying this morning. Hope they stay for the weekend.
