haven't been having much luck calling with my johnny stewart. any suggestions on which tapes to be using? how long should i stay set up for?

I've had good luck with the coyote pup/squealing rabbit fight.
I usually move in 1/2 hour if nothing happens. Make sure you can see good down wind.

try a higher pitch like woodpecker in distress keep stands short but make a lot of them a predator cant respond if it cant here you so keep moving about 10 mins for fox 15 for yotes

Any idea how many fox there are in the area? Here in Minnesota the coyotes have the fox pretty skittish. For the fox I would try low volume in the thickest cover you can find. Use low volume mouse squeeks or bird in distress tapes. Look for rabbits and you will find the fox.

I have never had much luck with electronic calls, although I know very successful predator callers who use them exclusively. I have had great luck with mouth calls. I have always found it much more exciting to trap than to call. There just seems to be something awesome about walking up on a set and seeing a fox or a coyote staring back at you.
