? on woodduck boxes

has any one ever put a couple boxes together like screw 4 boxes to each other and do you face them any certan directionlike north, south ,or east west

I've heard you should not do this. Hens don't like to be that close together and might abandon after eggs are laid.

I'd not recomend to place them no closer than 100 yards apart.

Boxes should be placed out of the sight line of other boxes or a minimum of 100 yds apart. Hens are highly competitive for nest spots and will create a dump nest if boxes are too close to one another. You are better off with fewer boxes than trying to cram a whole lot into a small area. The whole purpose is for the hen to hatch the eggs.
