this last saturday my friends and I went up some mountain chaseing Ptarmigans, this was my first hunt for them. after about a 4 hour hike/bike back into the mountains we saw a flock( about 30) of course they were still an hours hike (up mountain) away. so us being young we proceded to march up the mounatin once we got to the spot all we saw was one lonely Ptarmigan
I shot that one(my first
) we then hiked around for another hour looking for the flock. in the end we only got the one. it only cost us about 7 hours of hiking about 50-75 .22 rounds (when we get bored we start shooting things) one bike tire (not mine) and sore legs the next morning.
and I'll do it again if I have the chance
thanks to the men and woman of the United States Coast Guard- without them I would not be here.
