As for paints, any flat house paint will work, i use artist paints, mostly LIQUITEX, available at any art suppy, i get mine at MICHAELS CRAFT STORES, and i am using acrylics, i prefer them just because they dry so much faster, i do use oils, but that is mostly for decoratives.
