Calling lessons

Postby Fsbirdhouse » Fri Mar 26, 2021 2:29 pm

Last Fall I was introduced to a new arrival in E Idaho.
He joined my group for a number of hunts out of my blinds. He is the former Senior level World Champion duck caller, and a former California state champion as well. He gave my 13 year old Grandson a nice Echo duck call on one hunt, and offered to give him lessons on the art of calling, and I'm taking the Grandson to his place every Friday now for his lessons
This last month has seen rapid improvement in the Grandson's ability on a duck call, and he is now in communication with this champion's/instructor's former mentor as well for additional help, a person he gives much credit to for his own level of competition success he has enjoyed.
Braxton doesn't know it yet, but the pressure is really going to be on to see those crowds of Mallards finish in good order this Fall.
I'm sure he will shine. His instructor claims no less.
So the words Fall and Autumn are not to be capitalized?
They are in my world.

If you think I'm wrong, you might be right.
