To quote my late WVa hillbilly great aunt Opel, "Put jewel weed on it, child."
(I'm unaffected by it, but my ex was so prone to poison ivy that she could get it without much more than looking at jeans I'd walked through the woods in and spent a lot of time and money with specialists and prescriptions that offered no relief. Then the topic came up on Uncle Brooks and Aunt Opel's porch one day, and Opel looked at us like we stone stupid and offered what actually did the trick in short order.)
