Duck Numbers

With this winter weather coming in, are the duck numbers going up in bama?

I saw large number of divers and teal Saturday with a few large groups of big ducks flying high, then Sunday I noticed more gadwall and mallards ( a pretty good bit actually). Of course it is supposed to be in the 60's this week, so all of this will probably change by next weekend.

I hope they show for yall. We have had a pretty decent season out here so far, but things have got a little stale as of late.

I couldn't bring myself to go out this morning. I drove across the Tenn. river this afternoon and saw 10-15 out there, which is 10-15 more than I thought I would see. I'm toying with the idea of going Monday because I would hate to waste a holiday. Temps are supposed to drop back in the 40's around closing weekend, so hopefully we can get another good one in before we shut down.

I honestly hate hearing about the numbers back home. Growing up it was as easy as going out, point and click, pack up.

Yeah, The couch will get you every time. I got out Monday and was pleased to see there were a good many ducks on the river. Even saw a few groups of geese. I had a group of 40-50 gadwall swim on the outskirts of my decoys, so it was fun to watch them do their thing for a while.
