GAME DAY POPPERS

Postby bmoocher » Tue Feb 02, 2016 2:42 pm

Not my recipe, but figured I would share. Cooked them for a few hours around 175°and about 30 min more after a bbq sauce bath.

I LOVE smoking with a Weber, and I see you've got the long slow burn technique figured out. I've upgraded to the Smokey Joe, but the Weber Kettle holds a special place in my heart. Those look awesome by the way!!!!

If you want to step up your game, put a slice of cream cheese in each popper.

Thanks for the recipe. Made a bunch for the Super Bowl and they were great. I added cream cheese to your recipe.

I made mine with jalapeno slice in half with cream cheese and then duck strips and wrapped. Floured in brown sugar with chili powder in it. That was awesome, but i like the use of less jalapeno, as you did. 1/2 of one can get to be a bit much later that day after have 5 or 6.

OR trade the cream cheese for a piece of pineapple. Kind of a sweet hot taste, awesome.
