2020 season?

Postby mudpack » Sun May 10, 2020 7:45 am

Whadda' think, guys? Last year was "too much" water, this year might be "too little water". At least so far... things are looking pretty dry in the central part of our state. If we don't start getting some very unusual rains this summer, we could be in for some tough hunting.
I don't know whether to be optimistic or realistic about the 2020 duck season. I guess I'll have to wait until about August to decide.
Often wrong, never in doubt...

Do dry conditions = cattail mitigation/control work at CB this year?
Despite craziness of some people, I really enjoy hunting there. Nothing like it here in Ohio!

Mud, per Farmlogs.com CB has only received 7.71 inches of rain since Jan 1, which equates to 22.0% drier than normal. hopefully that gives the guys a good opportunity to get some work done up there. Quivira has received 9.77 which is about 5% wetter than normal.
If you're there for the limit, you're there for the wrong reason

That would be great if they can actually get something done. With all of the craziness in our country we need a good duck season in the worst way possible!!
