First geese to arrive

Postby John O'Neal » Sun Nov 15, 2020 5:25 pm

First geese of the season set in on my pond today. They are arriving much earlier than last season so I guess it's time to put out some decoys. My friend Curtis had called about buying my layout I had advertised. I wondered why as he already has one. He sent this Pic of yesterday's hunt with his wife. He wanted my rig for his wife I'm sure. She is hooked. His days of hunting alone are over.

I saw a few flocks of geese last week when I was scouting... no ducks but a couple three hundred geese in corn fields eating their fill. I decided to put off hunting last week due to the warm weather, that is about to change big time.

I have a pheasant hunt with my son over at Eckmans on Sunday... it’s a lot cheaper than driving out west to hunt.. and we’ll be back by noon.

Really Nice picture - but if she shot those, and he didn’t ... LOL.. He was lucky to get the boat, but then again it looks like he’s doing pretty darn good all around (pic).
