Finally got around to finishing the tailgate bench project for Jessi. Damn thing started I think with quarantine....so really I freaking had killer turn around time on this one!

well me and my buddy have been beating the ground trying to get permissions and extend existing permissions for getting on the birds,

we secured permission on a horse pasture off the roost and next to a refuge, along a river and they gave up permission to plant so millet is going in this weekend with some other duck mix

I also contacted a guy about his property off the impoundments up here and about cutting and planting his 90 acres and he said "I have a grassland easement so I'll talk to the people and see what is possible but if it doesn't interfere with the easement agreement its all yours" per the easement rules I read I just can't cut more that 30% before Aug 1st and can't plant annuals, only per-annuals which should only help so looks like we might have 2 great fields off two of the biggest locations up here

Oh and I have access to a field off another lake I hunt that the geese utility early seasons....

so we have access to fields off the best 3 roosts in the area, depending how this season goes I might not have to leave the UP anymore to stack em up lol :beer:
