Glad you hit it right! I’ve gotten burned on public, private, with guides, without guides, scissor and curtain rigs there many times over the years I lived there. Your luck seems way different than most there. May not want to post your success on the NC and VA forums and get them riled up haha.
I spent many many days and weeks there always waiting for the chance to get back to the Mississippi flyway, but it was nice to see the massive amounts of wigeon and pins that hang out in mattamuskeet. Very unique sight to see.
