Space Force

Considering the new Space Force is due to put Boots-on-the-Ground in the near future, who here believes at least one of the first to touch down on Mars should be a crack shot? Just in case 'First Contact' occurs?
It is our time honored tradition to to let new folk know what's what right off the bat...Eh? No?
So the words Fall and Autumn are not to be capitalized?
They are in my world.

Good idea. Besides there might be limitless numbers of martian animals that need to be decimated.

You'd have to have Marine type blood to join the Space Force with the goal of being the first on Mars.

Trust me, I do not have the Right Stuff.

Though a book and movie of fiction, I think it portrays the hazards and challenges of going to another planet. It is at a whole different level than going to the Earff's moon. If you are a little geeky, I recommend the book, followed up by the movie.

And I think by maritime rules, the first to land on a new land has the claim to it, assuming no indigenous species are already living there. So, the race is on.
